The Connection – Unknown Senses – Part 4 continues the series whose first part was presented at Tourujoki during the City of Light event in 2023.
Unknown Senses is a gateway to the unseen, where the vibrations of nature’s connections entwine us with one another. From beneath the layers of silence emerges a resonance that travels through the trees, brushes the skin with its tremor, and moves on – as if to remind us that we are part of something immeasurable.
In this place, boundaries are not lines but fleeting impressions. The division between human and nature dissolves, and the senses begin to hear and see more than they knew to ask for. Perhaps what we believe to be reality is only one frequency among many – and the artwork opens a door, if only for a moment, to the others.
The artwork is presented four times per hour.
The Connection – Unknown Senses – osa 4 on jatkoa teossarjalle, jonka ensimmäinen osa nähtiin Tourujoella Valon kaupunki -tapahtumassa vuonna 2023.
Unknown Senses on portti näkymättömään, jossa luonnon yhteyksien värähtelyt kietovat meidät toisiinsa. Hiljaisuuden kerrosten alta paljastuu värinä, joka kulkee puiden läpi, koskettaa värähtelyllään ihoa ja jatkaa matkaansa – kuin muistuttaen, että olemme osa jotakin mittaamatonta.
Tässä paikassa rajat eivät ole viivoja vaan häivähdyksiä. Ihmisen ja luonnon välinen erottelu liukenee, ja aistit alkavat kuulla ja nähdä enemmän kuin osasivat pyytää. Ehkä se, mitä luulemme todellisuudeksi, on vain yksi taajuus monien joukossa – ja teos avaa oven hetkeksi niille muille.
Teos esitetään neljä kertaa tunnin aikana.
